I can’t remember if I updated the stop loss on HighPeak Energy ( HPK 0.00%↑ ) to the 50-day moving average… But HPK broke below that level yesterday on pretty terrible earnings and failed to retake the 50-day this morning. That likely will lead to lower prices in the next few weeks.

So let’s protect our profits and book a gain.

Remember, be patient. This is a tricky market right now with a lot of conflicting signals. Holding cash and earning a 4%-5% yield on it is not a bad play right now.

So keep your powder dry and get ready to redeploy when the market gives us some clarity.
